Dr. Jinfei Wang is a Full Professor in the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of Western Ontario, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Science. She holds a B.S. and M.Sc. from Peking University and a Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo.
Her research encompasses:
- Advanced remote sensing techniques for environmental monitoring
- Urban land use/cover change detection
- Agricultural applications using multi-platform data (UAV, satellite, radar)
- Machine learning applications in geography and planetary science
- Hyperspectral/Lidar data processing
- Big data analytics for Earth observation
