Jin-Soo Kim

Professor Jin-Soo Kim serves as faculty at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) within the Graduate School of Engineering, leading the Genome Engineering Laboratory. Holding a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he directs research at the forefront of genetic editing technologies with dual applications in medical therapeutics and agricultural innovation.

His laboratory specializes in developing precision genome editing tools for human cells, animals, and plants. Key research thrusts include:
