معرفی
Dr. Jin Seo is a Professor and Department Head of Biology at Rogers State University (Claremore, OK). He holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Genetic Engineering from Seoul National University, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Yonsei University. His research focuses on cellular signaling pathways in obesity, diabetes, and aging, with two primary projects: (1) the interplay between ER stress and TOR pathways via Atf6, and (2) microRNA regulation of body fat in Drosophila. He has mentored numerous undergraduate researchers and published extensively in molecular biology and metabolism.
Professional Experience:
- 2024–Present: Professor & Department Head, RSU
- 2019–2024: Associate Professor, RSU
- 2013–2019: Assistant Professor, RSU
- 2013: Instructor, Department of Plastic Surgery (RSU)
- 2011–2012: Instructor, Developmental Biology (RSU)
- 2005–2011: Postdoctoral Fellow, UT Southwestern Medical Center
Research Highlights:
- Investigates Atf6’s role in linking ER stress and mTOR pathways to lipid metabolism
