معرفی
Jin Huang is a Tenured Physicist in the Physics Department at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where he has been employed since 2014. He currently serves as Co-spokesperson for the sPHENIX Collaboration and holds multiple leadership roles in detector development and data analysis for high-energy nuclear physics experiments.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2006-2011)
- B.S. in Physics from University of Science and Technology of China (2002-2006)
Huang's research focuses on high-energy nuclear physics, particularly heavy-ion collisions and detector development. His work spans experimental physics, computational methods, and machine learning applications in particle physics. He has made significant contributions to the PHENIX and sPHENIX experiments at RHIC (Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider), with research interests including jet quenching, heavy flavor physics, and quark-gluon plasma characterization. His recent work shows a strong integration of advanced computational techniques, particularly machine learning, with traditional nuclear physics research.
Analysis of Huang's recent publications reveals a strong trend toward interdisciplinary research that bridges traditional nuclear physics with cutting-edge computational methods. His work increasingly incorporates machine learning techniques for detector data processing, simulation, and analysis, while maintaining a strong foundation in fundamental nuclear physics questions related to quark-gluon plasma and heavy-ion collisions.
Huang plays a significant leadership role in multiple collaborations, serving as Co-spokesperson for sPHENIX and holding various coordination and committee positions within the sPHENIX, PHENIX, and Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) communities. His work spans experimental design, data acquisition systems, and physics analysis across multiple detector systems.
Huang is actively involved in the sPHENIX experiment at Brookhaven National Laboratory's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), where he coordinates simulation efforts and contributes to multiple detector subsystems including the Time Projection Chamber (TPC) and data acquisition systems. His work also extends to the future Electron-Ion Collider project, where he participates in detector development efforts.
