Jin Guo, MD is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Western University of Health Sciences since 2012. He holds dual certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), and is licensed in California. His medical education includes a Master of Medicine and MD from Tianjin Medical University (China), followed by postdoctoral training at UCSF's Department of Endocrinology.
Dr. Guo's research focuses on innovative cytopathology methods for exfoliated cell analysis, including immunohistochemical and molecular approaches for differential diagnosis of malignancies. He has pioneered work in hematopoietic neoplasm characterization and benign/malignant effusion differentiation through immunohistochemical pattern analysis.
His teaching excellence has been recognized with awards from Tianjin Medical University (1992-1993), and he maintains clinical practice as a Cytopathology Fellow at LAC+USC Medical Center. His publication record emphasizes diagnostic case studies across multiple specialties, demonstrating expertise in integrating clinical, radiological, and pathological data for accurate diagnoses.
