Jim Njoo is an adjunct professor at Rice Architecture Paris and currently holds an associate professor position at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-La Villette. His research focuses on cultural and disciplinary transfers in architectural theory and practice. He has taught at institutions including Columbia University, ETH Zurich, and Tongji University. Njoo holds a Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology, a Master/DEA from École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville, and degrees from Waterloo University.
His research interests explore the intersections of architecture with cultural studies, urbanism, and critical theory. Njoo is a member of the GERPHAU Philosophy and Architecture Research Group and previously contributed to the Grand Paris urbanism consultation. He has collaborated with OMA, Rotterdam, and published widely on architectural criticism and public debate.
