Françoise Fromonot is a Professor at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville and an adjunct professor at Rice University. Her expertise spans architectural criticism, urban theory, and design history. Since the 1990s, she has contributed to academic journals like Architecture d'Aujourd'hui and co-founded the critical journal Criticat. She holds a DEA in architectural and urban projects from Paris-Belleville and has taught at institutions including the Berlage Institute and Sciences-Po Paris. Her research focuses on urban transformation, modernity theories, and architectural competitions. She organizes the November Causeries conference series and supervises master's programs in architectural theory.
