Jim Lee

Jim Lee is a Professor of Economics at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, affiliated with the College of Business and the Decision Sciences and Economics Department. He served as Chair of the department from 2012 to 2015 and as Director of the South Texas Economic Development Center from 2014 to 2024.

• Education: Ph.D. in Economics (Penn State University, 1991), BA in Economics (Wilfrid Laurier University, 1981)

His research spans Applied Econometrics, Macroeconomics, and Regional Economic Development. Recent publications focus on rice price volatility in Asia, energy policy impacts in Texas, and business cycle dynamics in Europe.
