Jim Bellingham is a Fellow and Acting Financial Tutor at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. He currently serves as Director of Studies in Natural Sciences (Physical Part IA and Physics Part IB) and Secretary of the School of the Physical Sciences, overseeing resource management across Departments such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Earth Sciences. His career spans academia and public service, including 18 years in the Civil Service (now Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills) before returning to Cambridge in 2010.

Research interests focus on science-policy interface and physics education. He emphasizes bridging administrative and academic roles to support interdisciplinary collaboration. Outside academia, he enjoys cooking, wine, cricket, and cycling.
