Jill Thrasher serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Art Department at Austin Community College, teaching since 2000, and concurrently instructs studio art courses at St. Edward's University.
Her academic foundation:
- BFA from The University of Texas at Austin
- MFA from The University of Texas at Austin
Thrasher's artistic practice centers on observational drawing—particularly life drawing and animal subjects—as well as printmaking and foundational design. Her work has been exhibited at the Austin Museum of Art and regional galleries, with multiple solo exhibitions at Slugfest Printmaking Workshop & Gallery where she has maintained membership for two decades.
She actively participates in weekly collaborative life-drawing sessions with peers, emphasizing community engagement in artistic development.
