Jill Pence is a Professor and Executive Director of the Experiential Learning and Simulation Center at Samford University's College of Health Sciences. With a career spanning over a decade at Samford, she has pioneered simulation programs in nursing education and now leads a multidisciplinary simulation center. Her academic credentials include an EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama, an MSN in Nursing Education from Samford, and a BSN from the University of Southern Mississippi.

As a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), Pence specializes in healthcare simulation, interprofessional education, and nursing pedagogy. Her work demonstrates a consistent focus on simulation-based education across multiple healthcare disciplines, with particular emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, telehealth integration, and disaster preparedness.
