Dr. Jill Moser is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Critical Care (ICV) at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Medical Sciences. She holds leadership roles in the PRECISION Research Institute, coordinating PhD education and leading the MT & Microbes, inflammation, & immunity theme. Her research focuses on mechanisms of organ failure in critically ill patients, sepsis-associated injury, obesity/dysglycemia in critical illness, and acute kidney injury. She has authored/co-authored over 77 peer-reviewed publications, with recent work emphasizing complement activation in kidney injury, extracellular matrix dynamics in ARDS, and corticosteroid effects in severe COVID-19. Dr. Moser has received awards including the ESICM Family Partnership Research Award (2024) and Best Oral Presentation (2014). She actively supervises research projects and participates in international collaborations. Her work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
Education: PhD from Leiden University (2010). Key research interests include translational immunology, critical care diagnostics, and proteomic biomarker discovery. She leads projects like the COBESITAS-19 dataset and has organized symposiums on critical care advancements.
