Jill Morrison is a Visiting Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, serving as Executive Director of the Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship Program (WLPPFP) and the Leadership and Advocacy for Women in Africa (LAWA) Program. Her roles include teaching LAWA seminars, supervising legal writing, and co-teaching courses on Reproductive Justice and Global Health Law, focusing on laws impacting maternal and child health. She holds an LL.M. in Global Health Law from Georgetown, a J.D. from Yale, and a B.A. in Journalism from Rutgers.
Her research expertise spans Gender and Sexuality Law, Health Law, Bioethics, and Reproductive Justice, with a focus on systemic inequities affecting marginalized groups. Notable works include critiques of WIC breastfeeding policies and analyses of gender identity in historically Black colleges. She previously worked at the National Women’s Law Center, advocating for reproductive rights and protections for vulnerable pregnant women.
Morrison has contributed to legal scholarship, including Supreme Court briefs on abortion access and book chapters on reproductive justice frameworks. She co-chairs the D.C. Bar’s Immigration and Human Rights subcommittee and previously served on the National Board of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice.
