Jill M. Pederson is an Associate Professor of Art History and Interim Dean of Arcadia University's College of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in European art, particularly Italian Renaissance painting, sculpture, and graphic works, with a focus on intellectual, literary, and visual intersections in northern Italy.

Her research explores Italian Renaissance art, Leonardo da Vinci, Renaissance humanism, gender studies, and early modern court culture. She challenges traditional narratives of artistic genius by emphasizing collaborative networks in Renaissance Milan.
Her publications highlight Leonardo's interactions with Bramante and Milanese scholars, arboreal symbolism in courtly art, and gendered representations of male beauty. Recent work investigates transcultural influences on the Leonardesque pictorial mode.
