Jill Bezyak is a Professor in the Rehabilitation Counseling and Sciences program at the University of Northern Colorado's College of Natural and Health Sciences. With a PhD in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she has progressed through academic ranks from Assistant to Associate Professor since 2008 before becoming a full Professor in 2018. She also serves as Program Coordinator since 2016.
Her research focuses on health promotion for individuals with chronic illnesses and disabilities, psychiatric rehabilitation, ADA implementation, and evidence-based practices. She uses comprehensive assessment approaches to evaluate physical and mental health behaviors in vulnerable populations.
Her recent publications examine health behavior patterns among college students and individuals with severe mental illnesses, emphasizing practical interventions and community-based solutions. Research consistently demonstrates the effectiveness of tailored education programs in improving health outcomes.
