معرفی
Dr. Jie Zhang is an Associate Professor and Research Director in the School of Chemistry at Monash University. He specializes in electrochemistry, with a focus on electrocatalysis, energy conversion, and nanotechnology. His research addresses challenges in CO2 reduction, catalyst design, and the application of artificial intelligence in electrochemical data analysis. He leads the Electrochemistry Group, comprising 15–20 researchers, and holds leadership roles in major Australian Research Council (ARC) centers, including the ARC Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide and the ARC Research Hub for Carbon Utilization and Recycling. Dr. Zhang has received notable awards such as the Monash Research Accelerator Award (2013–2014) and the Robert Cattrall Early Career Medal (2012).
His research interests span electrochemical activation of small molecules (e.g., CO2, nitrogen), design of nanocomposite catalysts, and quantitative voltammetric analysis. He has published over 260 journal articles and holds 7 international patents, contributing to sustainable energy solutions aligned with UN SDGs. Current projects include medium-temperature electrolysis for CO2 utilization and advanced electrochemical techniques.
