Professor Jie Yang is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at RMIT University's School of Engineering. His research focuses on advanced composite structures, nanocomposites, structural dynamics, and smart materials. He leads over 440 publications, including 350 journal articles, and is a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher (Cross Field) since 2019. He holds editorial roles for journals like Engineering Structures and Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures.
Research Interests: Prof. Yang explores lightweight and smart materials at macro-, micro-, and nano-scales, including metamaterials, functionally graded composites, and graphene-reinforced materials. His work addresses structural stability, dynamics, and multifield interactions in mechanical systems.
