Jie Gao

Jie Gao is an Associate Professor in the Sustainable Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering department at the University of Oklahoma. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Engineering from East China University of Science & Technology (2010) and a joint Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland (2008–2010). His research focuses on advanced materials for energy and water applications, including membrane fabrication, water treatment technologies, and biodetection systems. He has developed industrial-scale procedures and equipment leveraging fundamental lab research.
