Christine Moresoli is a Professor at the University of Waterloo’s Department of Chemical Engineering, affiliated with the Biotechnology and Health Engineering Centre and the Waterloo Centre for Microbial Research. She holds a Doctorate (Es Sc. Techniques) from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland), and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from McGill University (Canada).
Her research focuses on membrane filtration processes, enzyme reaction engineering, and diffusion transport in materials. Key projects include optimizing wastewater treatment via enzyme kinetics analysis, investigating membrane fouling mechanisms with GE Water, and developing soy protein-based biomedical films. She has received $70,000 in MITACS funding (2010–2011) for membrane fouling research and collaborates with industry partners like GE Water.
Her teaching excellence was recognized with the Faculty of Engineering’s Teaching Award (2011). She has taught courses such as CHE 100 (Chemical Engineering Concepts), CHE 383 (Design Workshop), and CHE 482 (Group Design Project) in recent years.
