Jianming Jin is the Y. T. Lo Chair and Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), affiliated with the Grainger College of Engineering. He also serves as Assistant Dean for Zhejiang University-UIUC Institute Engagement. His research focuses on computational electromagnetics, finite element methods, and high-frequency device modeling. Key contributions include physics-informed machine learning for electromagnetic optimization, 3D finite element analysis of resonators, and thermal modeling of nonlinear materials.
