Jiang Peixue

Jiang Peixue is a Professor and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) at Tsinghua University, affiliated with the School of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Energy and Power Engineering. He has held numerous leadership roles, including Vice President of Tsinghua University since 2022 and Dean of multiple departments and institutes.

Research Interests: Prof. Jiang specializes in heat and mass transfer under extreme conditions, focusing on aerospace power systems, renewable energy, and unconventional energy resources. His work includes developing enhanced heat transfer methods for micro/nano structures and thermal protection technologies for high-temperature surfaces, with applications in CO₂ utilization, geological storage, and hypersonic systems.

Scientific Awards: He has received over 20 awards, including the National Natural Science Award (2014), National Technological Invention Award (2021), and the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize (2019).

Grants and Leadership: Prof. Jiang has led foundation-strengthening projects, National Natural Science Foundation grants, and major national R&D plans. He has served as Director of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics (2001–2021) and Dean of the Shanxi Research Institute for Clean Energy (2017–2023).

Labs and Teams: He leads the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics and contributes to editorial boards of international journals such as International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer and Journal of Propulsion Technology.
