Jianbo Liu

Dr. Jianbo Liu is a Professor and Acting Executive Officer in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at CUNY Queens College, where he leads research initiatives in physical and analytical chemistry. His group specializes in mass spectrometry, ion-molecule reactions, and computational chemistry, with a focus on biologically relevant processes and energy applications.

His research spans experimental and computational approaches, including studies of biomolecules in various environments, reaction dynamics, and aerospace applications of ionic liquids. The group collaborates with institutions like the Air Force Research Laboratory and utilizes advanced instrumentation for mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and molecular simulations.
