Jian Xie

Jian Xie serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, affiliated with the Nebraska Center for Virology. He participates in multiple doctoral programs including Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, Molecular Genetics & Cell Biology, and the Immunology, Pathology & Infectious Disease Graduate Program.

His work integrates expertise in intracellular trafficking mechanisms, cancer-related viral pathogenesis, and immune signaling pathways, bridging virology, cell biology, and immunology to uncover fundamental mechanisms of viral diseases.

As a faculty member in graduate programs, he mentors doctoral students across multiple disciplines while collaborating within the Nebraska Center for Virology's multidisciplinary research environment.
