Jian Hua Zhang is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics with Statistics, University of Gothenburg. His primary research focuses on Corporate Governance, Executive Compensation, Asset Pricing, and Emerging Markets Finance. He teaches courses in Corporate Finance, Portfolio Investment, Derivatives, and Econometrics.
Education: PhD in Economics (1999, University of Gothenburg) and Bachelor in Economics (1987, College of International Business, Shanghai University). He has held academic roles including Senior Lecturer at Shanghai University (1987–1990) and non-academic positions as Senior Analyst at the Swedish National Debt Office (2001) and Bank of Communications (1989).
Key research projects include studying asymmetry in compensation effects of macroeconomic shocks, exchange rate impacts on CEO compensation, and dividend policies in China. He has reviewed major textbooks in Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance.
