Jialing Liu

Jialing Liu is a Research Assistant Professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology, affiliated with the School of Medicine and Department of Biochemistry. She completed postdoctoral training at the same institution (2020-2022) and received her Ph.D. in Medicine from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (2020).

Dr. Liu's research focuses on identifying novel therapeutic strategies against cancer metastasis using patient-derived models, particularly studying molecular interactions between circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and vascular endothelial progenitor cells (VEPCs). Her work bridges traditional Chinese medicine monomers with mechanisms of cancer progression and drug resistance, leveraging genomics, pathology, and cell biology techniques.

Her recent publications highlight investigations into miRNA regulation in endothelial progenitor cells, macrophage polarization in diabetic nephropathy, and CTC-based models for metastatic mechanisms. These studies span disciplines including oncology, immunology, and pharmacology.
