Dr. Jiali Yan is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance and Accounting, University of Exeter Business School. She obtained her PhD and MRes from Lancaster University Management School, UK, and holds a BEc from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, China.

Her research focuses on corporate finance, sustainable finance, corporate disclosure, common ownership, emerging markets, corporate innovation, and financial misconduct. She has published in journals like Journal of Accounting Research and contributed to Springer book chapters.
She has received the Most Promising Project Award at the ESRC-NWSSDTP Workshop and was a Semi-Finalist for the FMA Best Paper Award in Corporate Finance. She serves as a reviewer for SSHRC (Canada) and ESRC (UK) grant bodies.
Dr. Yan supervises MRes and PhD students in corporate finance. She is affiliated with the Exeter Sustainable Finance Center and actively collaborates with international institutions.
