Ji Yoon 'Guava' Rhee is a full-time Lecturer in Fine Arts at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. Her work bridges artistic creation and curation, with a focus on marginalized narratives. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornell University.
Rhee's research explores the intersectionality of queer identity and Korean diasporic experiences through autobiographical reconstruction in multimedia formats. Since 2023, she co-directs the curatorial initiative project ieerie, which has organized exhibitions across Philadelphia, State College, Los Angeles, and Seoul showcasing underrepresented international artists.
