معرفی
Ji-Seon Kim is a Professor of Solid State Physics at Imperial College London's Department of Physics, part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. She leads the Nanoanalysis Group and directs the EPSRC Plastic Electronics Centre for Doctoral Training. Her research focuses on sustainable molecular semiconductors, advanced nanometrology, and optoelectronic applications such as solar cells and biosensors. She holds adjunct roles at Tokyo Institute of Technology and KAIST, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (2023) and Royal Society of Chemistry (2022). Her work involves collaborations with industry partners like Samsung and CSEM Brazil. She advises on grants and editorial boards for journals like Organic Electronics and Applied Physics Letters.
- PhD in Physics (2000) under Prof. Sir Richard Friend.
- EPSRC Advanced Research Fellowship at University of Cambridge.
Research interests include organic/inorganic hybrids, molecular vibrational spectroscopy, and device functionality optimization. Recent articles highlight innovations in organic photovoltaics, perovskite solar cells, and photoelectrochemical water splitting.
Awards include EPSRC Strategic Advisory Board membership (2020-26), and editorial roles in key journals. Industrial partnerships drive applied research in soft electronic materials and sensor development.
