Ji Hyun Oh

Ji Hyun Oh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). She holds a Ph.D. in Special Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Florida (2016). Prior to her academic career, she worked as a kindergarten teacher in South Korea and a pre-K lead teacher in the U.S. Her research focuses on children’s learning through play, nature-based outdoor environments, inclusive play-based curricula, and teacher practices. She teaches undergraduate courses in Inclusive Early Childhood Education and graduate courses in Special Education. Dr. Oh is a board member of the American Association for Promoting the Child’s Right to Play (IPA USA).
