Jeyoul Choi is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Religion at the University of Florida (UF). He holds a B.A. in Religion and Culture from Hanshin University (Republic of Korea), an M.A. in Religious Studies from Missouri State University, and a Ph.D. in Religion from UF. His research focuses on the religious experiences of Korean Protestants as global/transnational agents influencing religious landscapes in Korea and the U.S., with a book project using ethnographic methods to contextualize their migration narratives within U.S. religious history and global Christianity.
Teaching includes courses on Christianity and Sociology of Religion at UF. Previously, he taught at Santa Fe College (Gainesville, FL) as adjunct faculty and at Wofford College (Spartanburg, SC) as a Visiting Assistant Professor. His work has been presented at conferences like the American Academy of Religion and Association for the Sociology of Religion.
