Jewel Shepherd

Jewel Shepherd is an Associate Professor of Health Services Administration and Associate Dean for Graduate Programs at the Beacom School of Business, University of South Dakota. She holds a PhD in Health Services Research from Old Dominion University and dual theology degrees (MTh and ThD) from William P. Wiggins Bible College.

Her research focuses on chronic care management, mobile health technologies, and interprofessional collaboration, with recent publications examining ED utilization patterns, opioid epidemic economics, and patient education frameworks. She serves as Internship Experience Coordinator for Health Services Administration and has mentored numerous research initiatives.
