Jett Galindo is an Assistant Professor in the Music Production and Engineering (MP&E) department at Berklee College of Music. A Los Angeles-based Filipino Grammy-winning mastering engineer and vinyl cutter, she brings over a decade of industry experience from elite facilities such as The Mastering Lab (under Doug Sax) and The Bakery. Galindo has worked with prominent artists including Billie Eilish, Elvis Costello, Pink Floyd, and Pinar Toprak, and continues to influence the field through her academic and professional roles.
Her research and teaching interests center on audio engineering, music production, mastering techniques, vinyl record cutting, and music technology. She emphasizes demystifying mastering and empowering students to use accessible tools effectively. Her published articles on iZotope’s LEARN portal cover foundational and advanced topics in mastering, reflecting her educational philosophy.
The most recent articles highlight trends in mastering for diverse media, including vinyl, streaming, video games, and immersive audio. Galindo actively mentors students and shares industry insights, advocating for inclusivity in audio. She serves as Governor of the Recording Academy’s LA Chapter, a member of the P&E Wing Advisory Council, a board member of Women in Vinyl, and is involved with SoundGirls. She does not currently supervise any named students, but her educational outreach extends through workshops, articles, and institutional leadership.
She operates her own professional mastering studio in Hollywood, leveraging custom analog hardware and deep technical expertise. Her work supports a broad range of musical and media projects, from major film and game soundtracks to independent albums, reflecting a versatile and forward-thinking approach to audio mastering.
