Jesús Ricote Santamaría

Jesús Ricote Santamaría is a Tenured Scientist at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), affiliated with the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC). He leads the Piezoresponse Force Microscopy lab and contributes to the Spanish Technological Platform on Advanced Materials and Nanomaterials (MATERPLAT).

His research focuses on quantitative microstructural analysis of ferroelectric materials, utilizing X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and scanning force microscopy. Key areas include grain size effects on material properties, low-temperature thin films for flexible electronics, and multisource energy harvesting materials.

He has supervised multiple PhD theses and led projects such as PID2019-104732RB-I00. His work involves advanced texture analysis of ferroelectric films and the development of nanoelectromechanical systems.
