Jesús Mascareño Apodaca is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen, affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Department of Human Resource Management & Organizational Behavior. His research focuses on leadership, innovation, and organizational behavior, with particular interest in Human-AI collaboration and decentralized autonomous organizations. He holds a Doctoral degree from the University of Groningen (2020), an MSc in Business Administration from Linköping University (2010), and studied International Business at Harvard University (2004).
His expertise includes leadership styles, innovation networks, and the intersection of technology with organizational dynamics. He has conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Groningen and previously worked as a founder, consultant, and innovation manager. Current research projects explore collective creativity in human-AI collaboration and performance drivers in decentralized organizations.
Teaching includes courses on Human Resource Management and Managing Innovation. He has supervised topics like Organizational Behavior for International Business. His work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing practical implications for leadership and innovation strategies.
