Jesus Fuentes

Jesus Fuentes is an Assistant Professor of Music at Coastal Carolina University, where he teaches group piano, jazz piano, and directs the CCU jazz combo. He holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Jazz Performance with a cognate in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Music (MM) in Jazz Performance from Texas Tech University, and a Bachelor of Music (BM) in Commercial Music from the University of Texas at El Paso.

As an active pianist, arranger, composer, and educator, Fuentes performs across genres including Jazz, Classical, Latin, and commercial music styles. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Tom Harrell, Allen Vizzutti, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, and accompanied performers like Joe Ely and Il Divo. His quartet performed at the Jazz Education Network's 2021 annual conference.
