Jessie Sun

Jessie Sun is an Assistant Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, where she directs research on well-being and moral psychology. Her work examines how people balance personal well-being with moral concerns using experience sampling, naturalistic observation, and behavioral interventions.

Dr. Sun's research explores three interconnected areas: how social interactions influence well-being across personality types; the psychological barriers and motivations for moral improvement; and the relationship between moral behavior and personal happiness. Her innovative methods include analyzing everyday speech patterns and developing moral feedback interventions.

She mentors graduate students in the Well-Being and Morality Lab and has published extensively on personality evaluation, social interaction quality, and moral development in leading psychology journals.
