Jessie Pons is a Professor for South Asian History of Religions at Ruhr University Bochum's Centrum für Religionswissenschaftliche Studien (CERES). With expertise in art history and archaeology, her work bridges religious studies with material culture analysis, particularly focusing on Gandharan Buddhist art and its cross-cultural interactions.
- Trained at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), École du Louvre, and University of Paris
- Ph.D. in Art History from University of Paris-Sorbonne (2011) on early Buddhist art from Gandhara
