معرفی
Jessica Wilson is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Manhattan University in Riverdale, NY. Her research focuses on water quality engineering and environmental chemistry, particularly in nature-based infrastructure solutions for urban stormwater and chemical inhibition of oilfield scales. She has held academic positions at Manhattan University since 2006 and previously worked as an Environmental Chemist at Environmental Testing Laboratories.
- PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University
- MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Manhattan University
- BS in Chemistry, Russell Sage College
Her research integrates experimental and modeling approaches to address water quality challenges in urban and energy production contexts. Current work includes living shorelines projects funded by NFWF and USEPA.
Her publications span topics including chemical dissolution of oilfield scales, disinfection by-product formation, wastewater treatment optimization, and watershed risk assessment. Research keywords include water quality engineering, environmental chemistry, and urban stormwater management.
- Outstanding Young Alumna Award, Russell Sage College, 2015
- AWWA Academic Achievement Award: 2nd Place Doctoral Dissertation, 2014
She has secured over $300,000 in research funding through grants from NFWF, USEPA, AEESP Foundation, NYC DEP, and the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund. Her work often involves interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers from Carnegie Mellon University and other institutions.
