Professor Jessica Wilkinson is a leading academic in Creative Writing at RMIT University's School of Media and Communication. Her work intersects poetry, literary theory, and experimental writing, with a focus on nonfiction poetry and poetic biography. She founded and edits Rabbit: a journal for nonfiction poetry, advocating for innovative forms and new Australian voices. Holding a PhD from the University of Melbourne, her research explores boundaries between poetry and nonfiction, emphasizing transnational literary publishing.
Research & Awards: Recognized with an RMIT Research Award (2017) and a Creative Australia Fellowship (2023), her publications include three poetry collections (marionette, Suite for Percy Grainger, and Music Made Visible).
