Dr. Jessica Walker is an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, specializing in psychiatric-mental health nursing and homeless health. She teaches in multiple programs including the Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice, and leads clinical work providing psychiatric consultations for homeless populations. Her research focuses on mental health, homeless health, and nursing education innovation. She holds grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration for behavioral health workforce training and simulation education.
Education: DNP (Vanderbilt University), MSN (Vanderbilt University), BSN (Belmont University).
Research Interests: Mental health disparities in homeless populations, interprofessional collaboration in healthcare, trauma-informed nursing education, and social determinants of health.
