Her research focuses on early modern English writers such as Christopher Marlowe, William Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, and John Milton, contextualized within a New Historicist framework. She investigates the intersection of non-public drama (e.g., court masques, Inns of Courts plays, university performances) and political discourses, particularly the rhetoric of social deviance in shaping national identity.
Dr. Tvordi also engages in creative writing, having published her debut historical novel, The Schoolmaster (June 2024). Outside academia, she enjoys cycling on mountain bike trails and gravel roads near Cedar City, Utah.
