Jessica Sidman

Jessica Sidman holds the Brian E. Boyle Professorship in Mathematics and Computer Science at Amherst College, with adjunct affiliations at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research bridges computational algebra, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and applications in rigidity theory. She explores geometric problems through polynomial systems, with applications in computer-aided design, architecture, and robotics. Teaching spans foundational courses from calculus to abstract algebra, alongside electives like computational algebraic geometry.
