Dr. Jessica Michelle Cottreau serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS). She teaches infectious diseases pharmacotherapy and pharmacology, directs the Applications of Drug Information course, and acts as the College of Pharmacy's liaison for the Global Health program facilitating international student opportunities.
Her educational background includes a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Wisconsin (2006), a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, and a PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Residency at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Research interests focus on resistant gram-negative pathogens, external factors influencing patient outcomes in infectious diseases, and scholarship of teaching and learning. She has authored numerous publications in infectious diseases and serves as a reviewer for scientific posters and journals.
Dr. Cottreau holds dual board certifications as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP), and is actively engaged with the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists.
Within RFUMS, she serves on multiple College of Pharmacy committees and provides academic leadership through her department chair responsibilities and course direction.
