Jessica Methot

Jessica Methot is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at Rutgers University's School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) and a Distinguished Research Professor of Management at the University of Exeter Business School. She holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Florida and serves as Director of the Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management PhD Program at Rutgers.

Her research examines interpersonal workplace relationships and social network dynamics, including HR practices' impact on informal networks and the consequences of workplace friendships. She has consulted for corporations, non-profits, and the Rutgers Center for Women and Work.

Notable awards include the 2021 Best Editorial Board Reviewer (Journal of Applied Psychology) and 2016 Best Article Award (Personnel Psychology). Her work has appeared in Academy of Management Journal, Harvard Business Review, and over 300 media outlets including The New York Times and NPR.
