Jessica Lynn Sanchez

Jessica Lynn Sanchez is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the School of Social Work at UT Arlington with expertise in trauma recovery and violence prevention. Her research and clinical practice focus on supporting marginalized communities, particularly Latinx women and survivors of intimate partner violence.

Sanchez developed innovative curricula addressing sexual health, LGBTQ+ studies, and violence intervention. She founded UT Arlington's Maverick Food Pantry through a $250,000 grant and currently directs initiatives supporting victims of domestic violence. Her clinical practice specializes in perinatal mental health and trauma recovery for first-born/only daughters.
