Jessica Harvey, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Communication and Media Studies department at Saint Vincent College. Her work bridges media literacy education, family media dynamics, and social justice issues. She holds degrees from Purdue University (B.A.), Arizona State University (M.A.), and the University of Washington (Ph.D.).
Dr. Harvey collaborates with colleagues like Dr. Tracy McNelly on teacher training in media literacy and intergenerational technology use. Her research examines how families discuss gender, race/racism through media, and how educators integrate media literacy into curricula. She mentors students presenting at the Eastern Communication Association conference.
