Professor Dr. Jessica Gienow-Hecht is a leading academic in the field of international and global history, with a specific focus on North America and its transatlantic relations. She holds the Chair of History Department at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Additionally, she is a principal investigator for the Cluster of Excellence "Contestations of the Liberal Script" (SCRIPTS), leading the research unit BORDERS and the project "Gender, Borders, Memory".
