Jessica E. Carnathan

Jessica E. Carnathan is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Nursing. Since 2011, she has been affiliated with Arkansas Children’s Hospital, providing specialized care in Pediatric Gastroenterology clinics in Little Rock and Springdale. Her clinical expertise includes diagnostics and treatment for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and general gastrointestinal conditions.

Jessica Carnathan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas and completed her Master of Nursing Science, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner, at UAMS. She holds certifications from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Her research involvement focuses on the Improve Care Now international registry, aiming to enhance IBD treatments and patient outcomes through clinical trials. She practices at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (Little Rock) and Arkansas Children’s Northwest (Springdale), accepting new pediatric patients by referral only.
