Jessica Collins-Bojovic is a political geographer and Early Career Researcher at Macquarie University, affiliated with the Discipline of Geography and Planning. Her work focuses on the political geographies and governance of borders, informal migration corridors, and refugee camp dynamics in Australia and Serbia. She also serves as an Academic Casual at the School of Communication, Society and Culture and School of International Studies, with a strong commitment to bridging academic research and real-world migration challenges.

Her research examines how borders and migration corridors are spatially governed, including the role of neoliberalism and institutional camp geographies. She has explored Australia's sub-national border closures during the pandemic, health in alternative detention sites, and the Balkan Route's migration dynamics. Her work intersects carceral geography, refugee studies, and geopolitical governance, with a focus on Serbia's asylum systems and New South Wales' disaster responses.
Collins-Bojovic has received prestigious honors including the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (2015), the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research Commendation Award (2022), and the Highly Commended Paper Award (2023). She co-founded The Workshop: Belgrade, a civil society organization providing language education to refugees, and collaborates with scholars like Claudio Minca on projects related to migration and detention.
