Jessica Brown

Dr. Jessica Brown is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Nova Southeastern University's Halmos College of Arts and Sciences. Her expertise lies in analytical chemistry, with specialized work in volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis using SPME-GC-MS technology.

Dr. Brown's research spans forensic science, disease diagnosis through odor analysis, and food chemistry, particularly studying vitamin D stability in irradiated fish. She actively mentors undergraduate researchers, guiding 20+ students in projects ranging from periodontal biomarkers to explosive odor detection, and encourages conference participation through poster presentations at American Chemical Society meetings.
